LOCFS Community Outreach 2024 aims to enhance community engagement through impactful initiatives. Our recent event celebrated inspiring testimonies of recovery and triumph. Thanks to all supporters, we continue our mission to help individuals reenter society and thrive.

FACER Project 2024

Through a subaward through FLIPP Inc. funded from the Department of Labor, LOCFS offers outreach, case management, and a 3-week paid internship in renewable energy, achieving a 100% completion rate in 2024 for the first Cohort. Out of 28 participants, 21 passed the NABCEP PV Associate exam on their first attempt, and six secured jobs in the sector within four months post-training.

Making History and Celebrating Progress in Reentry: Renewable Energy Certifications at Piedmont Regi

Witnessing the growth of Piedmont Regional Jail's reentry programs to include renewable energy certifications was inspiring! The graduation ceremony honored the graduates' achievements. Special thanks to FLIPP, Inc., Solar Raye, and the dedicated staff for their efforts and the Honorable Commonwealth Attorney of Prince Edward County Megan Clark. Your support fosters sustainable employment and community growth.

Remote Learning Assistance

This is a flyer that extends assistance for LOC Family Services to JOIN IN and help families during this change that we are all experiencing with REMOTE learning for school-age kids. This service is for enrolled participant with LOC Family Sevices or individuals who have a loved one who is currently incarcerated that is providing care for their children and desire assistance.

Clothes Closet Information

LOC Family Services has a clothes closet for participants and their families can come and get bags of clothes for ABSOLUTELY FREE!!! Thanks to all of our volunteers and continuous donations we continue to bless families.

First Annual Symposium Flyer

In July of 2018, LOC Family Services Held their very FIRST Reentry Symposium and Dr. Paul Richardson and Faye Richardson founders of Full Gospel of Faith Fellowship blessed us with an AMAZING word of God over this organization and the lives of those who were present. This was an event that will never be forgotten by the founders of LOC Family Services.

GED Program

We have partnered with Southside Community College to provide services to individuals who request assistance with obtaining their GED.

Financial Literarcy

LOC Family Services believes knowing how to handle money is necessary to ensure complete stability. This Flyer was just one event that was held here at LOC Family Services.

Community Dinner

Since 2018 in November Teresa Green, organize a Community Dinner for ABSOLUTELY FREE for community member in all eight counties LOC Family Services serves. We continue to support this event yearly.

Solar Panel Event

LOC Family Services provided four individuals with the great opportunity to recieve solar installation and environmental health certification ABSOLUTELY FREE!!!! Bridging the Gap In Virginia has received a grant from Mertz Gilmore Foundation to sponsor a solar installation and environmental health training program in the Union Hill area of Buckingham County
